Tiffany Gary-Webb, professor in the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public Health, has partnered with an African medical research alliance to better understand the prevalence and underlying causes of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in Senegal.

Celebrating Africa with the Center for African Studies

September 16 and 17, 2022, saw Posvar Hall abuzz with energy. Starting at 10 am on Friday, students, faculty, staff, and members of Pittsburgh’s African diaspora community filled the Global Hub and several classrooms in a celebration of African knowledge, scholarship, and heritage.
