Frequently Asked Questions
- Who can apply for a travel grant?
K-12 teachers and community college or minority-serving institution faculty may apply. The ESC runs both a regional and national search to award travel grants for both K-12 teachers and post-secondary faculty.
- What does a travel grant cover?
All participants receive six (6) nights shared accommodation in a four-star hotel located in Brussels' European Quarter (breakfast included) as well as a $750-$1000 grant to offset the cost of round trip, economy-class airfare to Brussels. To close out the experience, there will be a group dinner. Participants will be responsible for all additional meals, any additional costs for transportation, and all incidental expenses. Upon acceptance, there is a non-refundable deposit of $300.
- When can I apply?
Applications typically open in late November/early December and close in mid-January. Application links will be live during the application window.
- What are the application requirements?
