European Studies Center

Contributing to European Studies

Designated as a National Resource Center for European Studies by the U.S. Department of Education (under Title VI of the Higher Education Act) and a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence by the European Commission, the ESC coordinates and develops scholarship, teaching, and community events related to Europe and the European Union.

Your gift to the European Studies Center will ensure that we at the Center continue to prepare globally and interculturally competent undergraduate and graduate students to lead lives of impact through our programming. We also welcome a conversation about creating new or named funds. Please contact us with any questions and thank you for your support.

Supports students participating in study abroad and internships in Europe, with preference for students pursuing a certificate in European Studies.

Endowments

An endowment provides a perpetual stream of income in support of scholarships, fellowships, faculty chairs, instruction, and other important programs or services at the University of Pittsburgh. Minimum endowment levels (payable over up to five years) guarantee that sufficient income will be available to fulfill your specific intentions.

Planned Giving

Planned giving options allow you to amplify the impact of your generosity to the University of Pittsburgh and to potentially create lifetime income streams and reduce your taxes. You can leave a legacy through bequests, retirement plans, charitable annuities and/or trusts, life insurance, appreciated stocks, or real estate and other tangible property.
