The 2026 Brussels Study Tour will be June 21-27, 2026.
Deadline January 12.
We will notify you of your acceptance by early February.
Program Overview
Join the ECS and fellow K–16 educators from across the United States for a week-long immersive experience in Brussels, Belgium — the heart of the European Union. Through meetings with EU politicians and decision makers as well as experts from NATO, European think tanks and NGOs, you will learn about the history of European integration, the contemporary challenges for the region, and the state of the Transatlantic relationship.
A key element of the program is to help you develop innovative ways to translate your Brussels experiences into engaging classroom instruction that brings Europe to life for their students.
Program Expectations
Participants are expected to fully participate in all activities associated with the Brussels Study Tour. This includes all site visits and pedagogical sessions in Brussels as well as pre- and post-section for preparation and reflection. Participants are also required to submit a lesson plan, syllabus module, or other creative projects demonstrating how they plan to integrate insights from the tour into their teaching. For examples of past projects, please visit our classroom resources page.
