Outreach

As a long-time National Resource Center for Russian, East European & Eurasian Studies, REEES's Outreach Program has played a pivotal role for over 50 years in sharing information and expertise on Russia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia with educators and students both at the college/university level, and primary/secondary (K-12) levels, as well as the professional communities and the general public.

Outreach programs are offered throughout the year. These include but are not limited to: educators' professional development workshops, curriculum development projects, K-12 student programs, free educational resources, lecture and film series, and other arts and cultural programming.

K-12 Teachers & Students

The K-12 outreach program is dedicated to promoting understanding of the cultures, languages, histories, politics and societies of Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia.

Post-Secondary Outreach

REEES provides outreach programs for faculty and students from other higher education institutions throughout the Western Pennsylvania region and the nation.

Community Outreach

The Center's joint activities with local community organizations range from annual cultural heritage festivals, to student programs, to film series and other arts events.

Engaging Eurasia Teacher Fellowship

The Engaging Eurasia Teacher Fellowship is a nine-month program that takes a multidisciplinary approach to understanding issues in Eurasia.

Blavatnik Archive Teacher Fellowship

The Blavatnik Archive Teacher Fellowship is a hands-on program where educators will explore powerful visual propaganda from the 20th century and transform their learning into dynamic classroom curriculum.
