Dr. Natasha Garrett brings extensive experience in global education and cross-cultural engagement. She previously served as Director of International Student Services at La Roche University, where she played a key role in advancing the institution’s internationalization initiatives. Earlier in her career, she directed the Pacem in Terris (Peace on Earth) program, which provided scholarships to students from conflict-affected regions including the former Yugoslavia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Dr. Garrett has taught courses in cross-cultural communication, led student study-abroad programs, and consistently championed education as a pathway to dialogue, conflict resolution, and social and economic mobility.
In addition to her administrative work, Dr. Garrett is an accomplished writer whose poetry, translations, and personal/travel essays explore themes of transnationalism and cross-cultural living. Her essay collection, Motherlands, was selected as a First-Year Read by Westmoreland County Community College in 2021.
She is an active member of the United Macedonian Diaspora, contributing to advocacy, scholarship initiatives, and cultural preservation. Throughout her career, Dr. Garrett has been dedicated to expanding global educational and professional opportunities for students and fostering inclusive, internationally engaged learning communities.
