Mulenga Malama

Mulenga Malama serves as the Student Ambassador for the Center for African Studies (CAS) at the University of Pittsburgh, where he supports the Center’s mission by engaging students, promoting its programs and events, and fostering connections between CAS and the broader campus community. He brings a strong analytical background and a global perspective to this role, holding an MBA in Finance and Accounting and a bachelor’s degree in Demography with Economics from the University of Zambia, complemented by over seven years of professional experience in finance, risk management, fraud prevention, and compliance across Southern Africa.

Born and raised in Zambia, Mulenga is deeply passionate about advancing the understanding of Africa’s economic, social, and developmental dynamics. In his ambassadorial work, he enjoys collaborating with students, sharing insights on academic and professional opportunities related to Africa, and contributing to initiatives that promote meaningful cross-cultural learning and engagement.
