Garrett Margliotti serves as the inaugural Director of Global Partnerships and Partner Engagement at the University of Pittsburgh’s University Center for International Studies.
As the University of Pittsburgh's Fulbright Scholar Coordinator, Margliotti serves as the primary point of contact for faculty and staff interested in pursuing Fulbright opportunities. Working through the Office of Global Partnerships and Services, he provides guidance throughout the application process, coordinates institutional support for applicants and award recipients, and helps strengthen Pitt's engagement with one of the world's most prestigious international academic exchange programs.
Margliotti plays a vital role in fostering thought leadership by assessing existing relationships, cultivating new partnerships, and managing the entire lifecycle of international agreements, from requests to approvals and assessments. Additionally, he spearheads the development of an International Partnerships Incubator, contributing to the University’s global engagement initiatives.
Bringing a wealth of experience, Margliotti joined Pitt after serving as the Senior Associate Director of Advising and Programming at Northeastern University’s Global Experience Office. Prior to that, he directed Carlow University’s Center of Global Learning. Margliotti holds an MEd in Higher Education Administration and a BA in French and History, both from Pitt.
