The Summer Scholars Research Fellowship offers an opportunity for scholars to focus on European integration or EU studies through in-depth work with the Barbara Sloan European Union Document Collection at the University of Pittsburgh. This fellowship is ideal for scholars who wish to advance their research projects using a specialized archival collection.
The fellowship supports a variety of research goals, including academic publications, policy research, and other scholarly endeavors related to European integration. The Barbara Sloan Collection, a rich resource donated by the EU Delegation in 2007, provides access to documents dating back to the 1950s, with strength in research files covering a wide range of subjects.

Eligibility
Open to pre-doctoral, post-doctoral, junior, and senior scholars. The fellowship is particularly suited for those whose research aligns with the scope of the Sloan Collection.
Note
Applications will be evaluated based on the suitability of materials in the Barbara Sloan European Union Document Collection to the proposed research objectives. Questions regarding the Sloan Collection should be directed to Dan Pennell, the ULS bibliographer overseeing the collection.
