In 2019, Pitt’s Office of the Provost and University Center for International Studies launched a multi-year initiative to recruit top scholars in Latinx Studies with expertise in research, teaching, and community engagement. Nine exceptional individuals have since joined the Pitt community as part of this successful Latinx Cluster Hire Initiative.
